Variform Vinyl Siding Products

Innovation from the Beginning

Variform Vinyl SidingFor more than 40 years, Variform has stood side by side with homebuilders, distributors, investors and families interested in improving their homes—and their lives—by siding with beautiful, durable, low-maintenance vinyl siding.

It all began in 1964, when a Missouri entrepreneur founded Variform as a company that manufactured VARIous FORMs of plastic. In 1971, he began custom embossing smooth accessories for the siding industry, and by 1976 Variform was manufacturing our own line of innovative vinyl siding. Throughout our history, we have continued to offer innovative solutions to meet the needs of our customers. In 1989, a little more than a decade after we started manufacturing siding, we unveiled the Timber Oak® siding line, which introduced variegation to the siding industry. Variform was the first manufacturer to create vinyl siding panels that successfully represented the variations in color and texture found in hand-stained wood panels.

The Innovation Continues

Variform is constantly applying new techniques and proprietary innovations to our manufacturing processes in order to improve and develop products that are even easier to install and maintain. Today, Variform is a part of the Ply Gem Siding Group, the number-one manufacturer of vinyl siding in North America to independent distribution. This enables us to offer a depth of experience in our industry—as well as a full line of complementary and coordinating exterior products. More than 1,000 employees manufacture, sell and market Variform products. We hire the best research and development specialists, and we hold them to higher standards—all to make sure our products meet our customers’ high standards. Every product has to pass a rigorous 35-point inspection before it is boxed up and shipped out. And our siding is backed by one of the best warranties in the industry, so installers and homeowners can enjoy our products’ great looks without worry. When you work with Variform—either in the showroom, the boardroom or the living room—you work with a solid company backed by years of innovation, experience and quality.

National Power – Local Service – Ply Gem

Variform is part of Ply Gem, one of North America’s leading manufacturers of residential building products. Our headquarters are strategically located in the middle of the country in Kansas City, Missouri, and our network of dealers is supported with manufacturing plants located throughout our market area. This enables us to provide distributors and installers with our products quickly and efficiently, and helps us keep transportation costs—both in dollars and in environmental impact—low. We have a special relationship with a large network of national distributors who proudly support our brands and our customers. By making their jobs easier, we make it easy for builders, installers and homeowners to choose Variform. We offer Virtual Plant to insure the most efficient shipping points for our distributors, and Vendor Managed Inventory to help distributors track their stock and maximize their profitability through improved turns. By understanding our industry and treating our distributors as extensions of our own company, we ensure that every builder, installer and homeowner who chooses Variform receives service that’s just as high in quality as our products.

An Excellent Line Up

Variform produces eight distinct vinyl siding lines that provide our customers and distributors with the perfect quality solution for any home. That’s why every one of our product lines features premium thicknesses for added durability and dent resistance, our own color extrusion technology for consistent and lasting color, revolutionary technologies that help our products withstand severe wind and weather, and patented systems that ensure a secure fit and easy installation.

Branded for Quality

The Vinyl Siding Institute (VSI) offers product and installer certification programs to the vinyl siding industry. Their independent tests ensure that vinyl siding products and colors meet or exceed ASTM quality standards. And their installer certification program also ensures that the people who install our products use ASTM accepted installation techniques. Many Variform products carry the VSI Certification, which independently verifies quality, so you can purchase Variform with confidence.
