Joe Nuxhall Miracle League
2012 was a busy year for Ray St. Clair Roofing as they participated in two major community projects here in the Greater Cincinnati and Fairfield areas. RSC was asked to install the new roof to the Grandstand at the newly dedicated Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields in Fairfield.
Ray St. Clair joined Joe Nuxhall’s family and the many others who helped make Joe’s dream a reality at the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields located in the city of Fairfield—Joe’s old stumping grounds as well as home to RSC. This field is located at Hatton Park on Groh Lane.
The field’s dedication came on Joe’s 68th anniversary of “pitching his first game for the Cincinnati Reds” when he was only 15 years old—the youngest ever to pitch in a major league game.
Kim Nuxhall thanked the many companies and individuals who donated their time and services to a tune of more than $2.1 million dollars to help make Joe’s dream come true.
Cheviot Memorial Field and Grand Stand Project
This was the second field project that RSC participated in this summer. RSC, alongside the Reds Community Fund and P&G Employees, helped renovate the Cheviot Memorial Field and Grandstand which had been selected as the winner of the second annual Home Field Makeover contest.
As the winner, the City of Cheviot and Cheviot Memorial Field received a complete field and grandstand renovation underwritten by the Reds Community Fund, P&G and Ray St. Clair Roofing. Ray St. Clair employees single handedly provided the labor to tear off, replace the wood surface to many parts of the 1930’s grandstand, and re-roof the entire 3,780 sq ft. roof area this summer.
Ray St. Clair takes great pride in giving back to the Greater Cincinnati Community in thanks for all the support they receive from so many families over the last 60 plus years.
